Website History

My first experience with a computer was way back in 1998-1999. That was back in my 5th grade Elementary days. My dad let me experiment his brand new HP desktop with Windows 98 installed on it. I even remembered what the computer’s theme was.. the Underwater theme, complete with it’s screensaver. So you’re all pretty curious with what was I interested at back in the day that led me to being addicted with the computer and the Internet that also led me to webdesigning right?

I was interested in looking at Barbie dolls at several shops in the US, printed them out and created a mini catalog for myself, sadly none of these dolls were bought, so up to now they’re still in ‘hardcopy’ somewhere I forgot where I kept them. I was also into gaming, just simple gaming unlike the serious gaming scene today.. Neopets, games at Cartoon Network, you name it. I also had the privilege of being part of old school chat rooms, you know, the ‘clean’ days of chat rooms. Everyone was friendly and approachable. I also made friends from those rooms and some of them of which I still keep in contact up to now.

In regards with Web Designing, I made my first website at Matmice.com (it’s a website based at Australia). I also made friends there, and it all started there. Everything that I learned to do there was self taught, needless to say everything paid off eventually. Next, I left Matmice and decided to go places, I got myself a Geocities account and started to take Web Designing seriously. And yes, I experienced the Expage trend. I made an account/site there but it was pretty pointless because of their limited features. Then after that I was able to get myself hosted, my very first host was Michelle from Everlasting - Misery.com, then the rest is history.

At present, I’m now self proclaimed Web Designer, Photographer (ha, ha! but still needs a lot of practice) and a Graphic Designer. :)
