The new Free Shell System is designed for big lines, epic powder days, and the search for backcountry adventures. This stormproof high-performance shell has an oversized, and carefully selected technical details. The elongated Free Jacket keeps the powder out, especially when combined with the new Free Bib, while providing maximized freedom of movement and excellent ventilation.

Using Dermizax®NX from Japanese innovators Toray, this 3-layer shell is lightweight and stretchable, while completely waterproof, completely windproof and extremely breathable. In fact — you will have a hard time finding any shell material that can compete with its comfort and performance.

The Free Shell is a full-featured technical system developed for alpine activities like freeskiing, snowboarding, and backcountry touring — but it can be used for a wide range of alpine activities.

Main fabric denier: 75D * 75D/2. (This is a woven fabric in which the warp and weft have different denier numbers.)

Waterproofness: 20 000 mm.

Breathability: 30 200 mm/sqm/24h.

Garment weight: Men’s M 748 g, L 766 g, XL 823 g. Women’s S 695 g, M 702 g, 746 g.

Inner leg length: Men’s S 82 cm, M 84 cm, L 84 cm, XL 86 cm, XXL 86 cm. Women’s S 79 cm, M 79 cm, L 81 cm, XL 81 cm.

Waist: Waist with Stellar Closure System, belt loops and buttons. Zipped bib in lightweight stretch fabric. Adjustable suspenders in elastic webbing.

Leg opening: Extra big Kevlar reinforcement at inside of leg. Snowgaiter in lightweight stretch fabric.

Pockets: Two zipped fleece hand pockets. Two extra large zipped bellow leg pockets, whereof one equipped with transceiver hook.

Zippers: YKK zippers. YKK Aquaguard™ technology used on all exposed zippers.

Ventilation: Zipped ventilation openings at outside of legs.

Snowgaiter: Internal snowgaiter in lightweight stretch fabric at leg opening. Stellar Closure System connects pants with jacket snowgaiter.

RECCO: Thin RECCO reflector at bottom of right leg.

Garment fit: This system has an oversized fit. If you prefer a more regular fit, we suggest ordering one size smaller.

For EU + Norway customers: All orders placed before 12:00 CET (Monday-Friday) will be shipped the same day.

For all non EU customers: All orders placed before 10:00 CET (Monday-Friday) will be shipped the same day.

You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the price when shipping to all countries except the below special conditions.

Special conditions Chile
Orders to Chile are shipped on a DAP (Delivered-at-Place) basis. All taxes and duties are excluded from the order price. Your order may be subjected to local taxes and import duties. Stellar Equipment does not cover taxes or duties for orders shipped to Chile.
Wash & Care

Fine wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.
After wash, tumble dry or iron the jacket on low temperature to re-activate water-repellency.
