Yet another concert-related post from the last show I went to in the previous week! I seem to be on a roll with going to concerts, don’t I? Rest assured that this phase will be over soon. For me, at least!

So last Tuesday was the concert of the Cranberries here in Manila. I had serious plans about this show 2 months ago, but all of them were scrapped and forgotten as the day of the concert came closer. First, the person who was treating us tickets to the show backed out the last minute. Second, I kinda reached some kind of personal quota for going to night events and staying up late so I was hesitant to go to this one. Third, I was supposed to watch this show with a group of friends that I’ve been dying to hang out with for a very long time. All those plans were thrown out of the window and I had to make ends meet for myself to get to watch this show. Continue reading →

These past couple of days have been crazy because I was back to my fangirling state again. Not for Incubus, but for this band of brothers otherwise known as Hanson. Truth be told, I’m not one of the diehard fans, more like just a “casual” fan, if there is such a term. One of my friends is the fan, and she needed a comrade and I happily told her that I’d go with her.

See Hanson upclose and possibly have a photo with one of the members? Count me in.

Our attempts were shattered when we found out that their manager (or was it their roadie?) was strict and didn’t allow any photos with them. So this was all I got from our Day 1 sighting..

Yes, we were that close to them when I took this. Ike stepped out to throw something to the nearby bin. That was my chance to maybe try my luck in a photo but I got shy. MOTHERFU. Zac wouldn’t turn to us when we called him.. IDK if our voices were too low or he just didn’t feel like noticing us. Continue reading →

Okay, so my title totally defeats the entire post because it’s not even about the concert itself. I was penniless around this time, yet I managed to ‘hangout’ with my friends and take home a copy of Rogue magazine (finally!!) with Megan Young on the cover.

Thanks, Quinn, Dan, Jeph, Chris, Alex and Bert (even though you had that pa-rockstar attitude, I still dig your music anyway) for being game and budding enough to pose a photo with me. See you guys soon!!!

While I was sorting out my files today, I came across a folder containing photos from the night of Wolfgang’s concert at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila last year. I remember that I have many photos from that night but after checking out a couple of them and realizing that they were blurry and horrible (to my standards), my enthusiasm of sharing them online went to zero.

Looking at these again now, I think they’re not that bad. Well, out of the hundreds of photos, here’s about 10-20 photos that looked decent. Enjoy!

Out of all the concerts I’ve attended in the past couple of months (my last one being the Incubus concert, and that was the cherry on top of my life until this one!), this is the most spontaneous one yet. So, buckle up and brace yourselves for another loooong post about this exciting concert!

PART ONE: THE HOTEL

I woke up really early for this because I thought that if I were there early, I would at least get a glimpse of Amy Lee before she leaves the hotel to go to the nearby mall (SM Megamall) for the M&G with selected people. See, I had planned in advance for this moment! Apparently, I failed to get a glimpse of her and I felt that I had wasted 3 hours for nothing. My friends came in a little bit later in the hotel but for a different reason: to meet Gavin Rossdale of Bush (a 90s band). They succeeded at doing that, and well, it was a pleasure to meet another rockstar so I jumped in and joined for a photo-op. I feel a little out of place because I wasn’t too familiar with their music and this guy, yet.
