Hi all,

I recently made a Facebook page for my blog, So Stellar. Yep, this blog! ) If you don’t mind, could you please ‘like’ my page? Just so it doesn’t look lonely hahaha. Well, I’m aware it won’t get that much attention but I wanted to make one just in case (you never know what can happen). I feel a little bummed out that someone already took the name SoStellar on FB, so I had to add a ‘PH’ at the end just so I can still use the name somehow.

Over the years I’ve changed my ‘tagline’ around 10x, I think. I’m never really consisted with taglines until now. I’m hoping I can stick with this, but at the same time I hope I can think of something better. This sounds too serious eh. =))

On Premade Layouts

Welp. I’ve swallowed what’s left of my pride and decided to finally bite the premade-theme bug.

I have mix thoughts on pre-made layouts especially when I was on the “peak” of my online life.. it’s something along the lines of “If you’re serious about blogging, you have to have a nice layout to go with it. Otherwise, you are just in for the thrill.” I know, it’s pretty pathetic. But what can you do, a lot can change in 5 years. )

Ever since I got myself a tumblr account (2 years ago), I stopped making layouts from scratch for my blog, especially in tumblr. Back then I didn’t think it was necessary because the point of that specific blog over there was for random stuff.. so even a white, “minimalist” layout would do. I didn’t think much if I were going to have readers or not because I made that account/blog account(s) for me. My mess, my randomness. I never told anyone my URL.. until some of my online buddies found it out on their own.

For the last two years, I’ve spent more time in Tumblr and eventually my WordPress “skills” have (should I say) disappeared. Continue reading →

Um, let me try this again.

I opened my site again (2 weeks ago, I think), put the maintenance mode plugin back to its place, in hopes that one of these days (during my christmas break), I’ll be able to conceptualize a layout that will work for me and would catapult to making an epic comeback to the blogging world.

Unfortunately, I’ve failed in even trying to do that.. because, the moment I opened photoshop, 2 hours has passed and I haven’t finalized even just a draft! I guess blogging is out of my system now?

NAH, NOT QUITE. I blame tumblr for sucking all my time that’s supposed to be for this site. For major upgrades, especially now that I’ve learned new things in school about Web Dev’t that might just come in handy for my own use, for upcoming layouts and such. 2009 was a year spent in Tumblr, and I’m not very proud of that.. its like being addicted to cocaine, or like addiction that hardcore rpg gamers experience.

I still write long-ass entries that a couple of people find time to read (though I notice the trend now is tl;dr), and between those long, novela-length entries, I put some random filler posts in between. Heh, no, they aren’t there just to be fillers.. or for tumblarity (DIE!), they’re there simply for the reason that I want to ‘share’ it, or for my sake of filling up my “tumblr scrapbook”, to be some kind of design.

Anyway, 2010′s a new year.. hopefully a year that I will become more active here again. Happy new year guys! I’m really excited to see things unfold this year, hahaha. And and, don’t you just find the number 2010 pretty in general? I know for sure I’ll enjoy writing/typing this year.. on quiz papers (no not really, I don’t get quizzes anymore in school; if we do.. its usually online-based haha)

It’s so easy to type, unlike 2009.. boring. What more with the year “2012″? Ooooh, intriguing! )

Let me know what I missed on the blogosphere! Please? Tumblr and domain blogging are two very different worlds.. though, I noticed towards the end of 2009, more people started using it. And many people didn’t agree with that. That’s another story!

Oh yeah, I parted ways/broke with unlearnme.cn hahaha. I couldn’t pay up the price for a .cn anymore, too expensive! I’ve a new one but I’m gonna use it for school so no need to really know what’s the name.. but I’m sure y’all can figure out what it is when I say that it’s a domain name I’ll be using professionally. And for the first time, my domain name is not related to Incubus!

Me and Karen Smith from Mean Girls are on the same boat right now. Except that I’m telling the truth and she’s not, so in the end she’s still a whore. Then again, she’s just pretend and I’m the one who’s really sick. So I guess I lose too?

Haha, was that confusing for you?

I’m sick. *cough cough* Yep, for realz. I got the whole motherload of sickness package: Cough, flu (clogged nose), sore throat and headaches. How unfortunate for me that I get sick just when summer is really here (for me) and I’m done with school. After I had a phone conversation with one of my high school buddies about some get together trips, one of them includes going to Star City and Trinoma sometime during the week, my minor cough and colds got pretty major and eventually got worse.

I hate it whenever it gets really hot and way out of proportion. It may be fun for some, because they have reasons to go to the beach. That would be fun for me as well, if I don’t get sick from it. I remember the doctor saying that I shouldn’t be too exposed in heat because my body won’t handle it. I’d get sick if I were in someplace hot for too long. Like I’ll get infections, add up the people around me who’s sick as well.

There you go, little ol’ easily infected Anna. Easy to get sick. Misery loves me a lot.

I wish all of these would go away soon before Monday, I have to go to school and claim my grades. I have to be there ALL day. I’d be fine with that but I have to go early, and my friends have to go to the afternoon, maybe I’ll die from misery and boredom waiting for them. Damnit. It sucks to wait when your sick with a dripping nose, it makes you do stupid things.

I believe that going out when your sick does make you do stupid things. Its like your whole body isn’t in the mood to do anything, and that’s why you should take a day off and rest all day.

That, I wish to do but thanks school for taking it away from me!

Yes I know I should sleep instead of blogging. But creative juices come out when I’m sick, funny how that works. ) Wait wait, that’s not it. Actually this post came to my mind yesterday but only go to do it now, just time when my condition has gotten worse. And I already slept, woke up an hour ago.

Well, I’d have to start somewhere if I really wanted to come back to blogging, right?

I guess I’m not like the usual blogger who comes back from hiatus showing off a new layout. I just can’t make one right now, and this comeback is rather spur of the moment, totally unplanned. My last term as a 2nd year student is ending in 2 weeks (at most), after that, you may expect to hear something new from me and see a new look here.

If I fail to provide you guys with a new layout and recent posts after 2 weeks, you may drop me a line (find my email here, its hard to miss) and complain that I’m such an ass for making false promises. )

So why did I bring this back on such a short notice? I needed to make site sample screencaps for a brochure I’m making for a mock company in my Desktop Publishing subject. That and, I just thought it was perfect reason to turn off the maintenance mode. Hehe! Actually, I was still hesitating with turning it off but I just said to myself “its now or never.” And there you go!

TO-DO LIST FOR FINALS:
Radio Drama for SONDESN subject
DESKPUB company portfolio and brochure
DESNCON “SDA: Multimedia Arts” logo concepts portfolio

Basically I’m trying to accomplish these before the holy week ends. The 2nd task, I’m trying to get it done before Wednesday next week because the printing shops might be closed by then for the holidays and I need to pass it by April 13.

PS: My domain’s expiring and I thought I wouldn’t be able to save it cause I thought I didn’t have enough funds on my PayPal, turns out I have. And now there’s no way this site is leaving the Internet world. Hehe. Just thought I’d share this with you guys.
