I had my first public speaking activity yesterday for my first class, ORALCOM¹, at school. It was hella scary and I am thankful I didn’t vomit after. Well, I didn’t had much time to practice since I procrastinated for 3 days almost but I think I did ‘fine’, just ‘fine’. I didn’t violate much of the no-no’s of public, just 2 I think. I remembered I was sort of rushing my speech as well, DAMN! To be honest, I only did my speech the day BEFORE (Thursday) and practiced on the same day as well. It was pretty short so I was a little bit confident, but the jitters still got to me from time to time especially on the day itself.

I’m just glad that it’s over because I can breathe easily now. Unlike my other classmates who are scheduled to present theirs on Monday. I wonder if they’re procrastinating, cramming, lazing out or practicing and exerting effort for it? Now I’m thankful my last name is NOT on the bottom half of the class list, hehehehe.

From yesterday’s ‘Introduction speeches’, I noticed that most of my classmates are musicians. Most of them are ‘addicted’ to music just like me.. and some of them are in a band. Show ▼

There’s one guy, whom I didn’t remember his name, who has a band and their name is from an Incubus song. I think it was Pendulous Threads? I forgot if he was the one who said that they play EMO music, I giggled. Then one other guy who belonged to a family of musicians, and we shared the same interest of artists. Ok, I don’t remember much after that except for my friend’s speeches. I think I embarrassed myself when I said that my favorite subject for photography are MUSICIANS because clearly that’s THEM.

Hahahaha. So much for that, moving on……

Last Wednesday, I was supposed to get the PSP I ‘bought’ from my friend, but heaven didn’t agree so God let it rain. I got so annoyed because neither of us wanted to go to the other building to meet. I thought he was making it up when he said that there was a Pep Rally on the main building so that’s why he couldn’t go to the other building, which later turned out to be TRUE. I was a day late when I found that out. Sucks to be in the SDA building², you’ll be so isolated from everything. Meh, I hope it doesn’t rain next Wednesday. I want that PSP. I’m so bored right now and I don’t have anything productive to do. Imagine just what I can do with that PSP…. Play with Tekken all day? On a pink gaming console?

Actually, I have things to do. I could start playing with iMovie so I can start editing our raw shots from our BASICOM³ subject but I’m not in the mood for that. I can… get back to reading New Moon, 4 chapters to go! BUT I’m hella lazy.. New Moon is my least favorite book, I’m just being patient reading it just so I can finish it. Jacob Black makes it so boring, SORRY TEAM JACOB. Sometimes I don’t even read thoroughly, I just skip to the dialogues instead. If not reading, I have another option which is to create another plate for DESPRIN⁴ about gradients.. which, btw, is HARD.

No classes on Tuesday so I have ANOTHER option to defer my DESPRIN plate and my ‘review’ time with my HARTDS1⁵ notes for a quiz.

In other news.. mom’s selling quite a lot of stuff like crazy recently. She goes into our stuff and asks if we still use whatever she finds and if we say we don’t use them anymore or we won’t be using it she takes them away and sells it. I saw the things she compiled up for selling and there were so MANY! Oh well, it’s better to have it be owned by someone who’s really going to use it. So, who wants a once-used Ice Cream Maker? I should help out by giving some of my CDs be put up for sale. I need to make money. So much stuff we have here that we don’t use, it’s almost good enough to put all of them on a Garage Sale.

She also put up the new Reader’s Digest magazines on sale, I asked her why can’t she just continue on collecting them along with the other books we have. And then she said that it’s taking up space.. well, that’s the purpose of having another house. Put loads of shelves. Such a shame to see these age-old art books go to waste. I could use them for school anytime, you know?

EDIT: An hour later I wrote that, my mom came to my room, announcing that she will include my NEW BOOKS for sale!!! I got so furious and shit. I went out to the living room and started speaking in a loudish tone. Why the heck would she do that? Because my books was put in a box she thought it was useless to me now! Gah. This is why I’ve been asking for SHELVES and for my room in our renovated house to be CLEANED and FIXED soon so I can move my shit there and not take up space in this house we are in right now. Sorry. I’m just really annoyed because most of the books she was going to put for sale aren’t even mine, 1 of them I just borrowed from a friend. Shelves, is just too much to ask for? My collection of things are getting way out of hand and I need my own storage room.

Lol. I was able to save money 2 weeks ago, but last Thursday it only took me an hour to spend my savings on 4 DVDS. I bought Good Luck Chuck, Tokyo Drift, Pursuit of Happyness and Mean Girls (we already have a VCD of this movie but I still want a DVD of it!). I really want lots of shelves on my room. I have so many books and DVDS.. CDs as well and boxes are not good enough to store them.

I found out a review yesterday while doing reviews at a certain website that REALLY pissed me off. I won’t say sorry to the person who did it if she ever finds it out. Not only that it offended me, but it sounds downright stupid.

I don’t like rock bands so I will definitely not watch their concert here in the Philippines.

This rock band this ignoramus is talking about is INCUBUS. What bothered me a lot is why did she wrote up a NEGATIVE review about them and rated them a POSITIVE 4. Does that even make any sense to you? I, for one, can’t simply just ignore this because the topic of the review has only received few reviews, probably why I noticed it that easily. And is she even aware that the band’s concert here in Manila was already a thing of the past? Did she even bother to read at least 50% of the site content she was reviewing?

In case you are not aware, this site gives you points for every review you do. And if you reach the minimum points required, you can get rewards for your points such as MONEY. It makes me mad because people do the stupidest things for MONEY. At least FOLLOW the goddamned rules of this review site. I know not everyone likes Incubus, but what the fuck.. was that ‘review’ even necessary?

Maybe it’s just me who’s acting so mad, pardon me. I’ve let it go, trying to move on.. but still can’t help but think about it whenever I see it.

I first saw one of these during the Jagermeister event that I attended months ago where Pupil performed. Now, I primarily went to that event only to watch Pupil.. not to drink and party with the ‘party people’ there. K, so I found myself standing on the side of the bar where the DJs are.. And I saw that thing *points to the photo*. I didn’t knew what’s the thing for or what does it do that time, all I knew is there was an iPod plugged on it. And I didn’t cared what the thing does, either.. but it looks pretty techie and HOT. Just for the record, Pupil’s performance that night was amazing! The event was for college student DJs around Manila (I think), I even saw UP and ADMU student DJ contestants. IDK how Pupil fits in the picture but they rocked and everyone was in awe. I didn’t sticked through the whole night because I wanted to go home immediately.. people were drinking booze and partying with the DJs and I can’t relate. Sucks to be me who can’t drink booze and party hassle-free.

Recently, I dropped by Pazzy’s blog and saw her entry about her friend’s iSpin. OK, so that’s what it’s called!! And stupid me for not recognizing but it’s actually a mini DJ mixer of some sort. Obviously I would definitely want one of these because a) I’m an aspiring DJ *cough*ILOVEDJKIL*cough*, b) This is a good start to do some DJ-ing, c) it looks fucking COOL!! d) who knew DJing only with the use of iPods would be even possible? I looked for some sample videos of it at YouTube and I found like 2-3.. but only 1 video was good enough to show me the effects of it. Needless to say, a lot of people weren’t impressed by the video, they even said the product was crappy. Whatever, man. I want that! It all depends on who uses it anyway. I can’t really find a proper review of the product, so I guess I won’t know what I’ve missed until I actually get my hands on a unit. I wonder how much this costs in Philippine Pesos?

Not much happened today. I went home early cause I don’t have any classes in the afternoon, yay. And while we were on our way home, our car broke down on SkyWay. The radiator leaked, or something. Err, not so much knowledgeable with cars. All I know is that the car’s temp went over normal temperature and it needed a lot of water to cool down. I just had to be a bastard for 5 minutes and joke them to put ice on the car’s machine next time, and tons of them so it won’t get too hot. Meanie, I know. I got home at 2pm and I slept too long in the afternoon that I woke up at 8pm. Great, just great. I won’t sleep easily tonight.

My mom’s priest friend is staying for the night. IDK, but that sounds weird.. what’s weirder is that he doesn’t act like a priest. He’s actually a very FUN guy.. laughs a lot and jokes a lot. You won’t se him as a Godly person, haha. And I was expecting him to be very serious at first (My mom introduced me to him last March during my stay at the province for my Confirmation) but he’s super funny sometimes I couldn’t relate anymore.

This is also a birthday-filled week for me. Tomorrow is Charlene’s birthday, Wednesday is Alex’s (my brother) birthday and Thursday is Princess’ birthday. So yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS! I was going to make a tarpaulin sign for my brother but I asked around and I thought it wouldn’t take a day to have one printed but I got the wrong idea, I’m too late to have my ‘tarp’ printed. Sayang. ILU, bro.

LOL. Oh noes.. I love the Philippine version of My Girl!! Sue me! I watched the pilot episode earlier and I thought Kim Chiu was really cute. Though I don’t blame if the ‘haters’ of the show find her acting OA, there were some scenes where she was really OA. I don’t think I’ve watched a single version of the Korean version (it was a ‘Koreanovela’, right? or was it Chinese? LOL), but Asian dramas don’t appeal to me anymore. (except for Meteor Garden, omg I was so sucked into the hype before) Anyway, I think I’d be hooked to this.. Hahahaha, it’s so cute. Also, there’s this new show in ABS-CBN where Kjwan vocalist and MTV VJ Marc Abaya stars titled Ligaw na Bulaklak (Stray Flower in English, I think). Maaaann, what happened? Hahaha. Me and my brother were waiting for him for his ‘acting’ debut at the pilot episode but he wasn’t on it, boo hoo.
