On Dogs and Puppies
January 11, 2012
Oh, hi! I just wanted to share for today these photos of our puppies.
These are the puppies of our dog, Bruce. Yeah, the female dog’s name is Bruce. Bruce Wayne, Bruce Lee. LOL. Okay I’m not making sense here. So what’s with the boy-name-for-a-female-dog thing?
My mom likes giving boy names to our female dogs. Hmm.. wait, no. This is the first time that she gave a female dog a boy name. Our other female dog is named Celine.
Anyway.
Bruce gave birth to a litter of pups last December 3. She had around 7 puppies all in all but the 3 pups weren’t able to survive. We were left with 4, but a puppy (didn’t have a name) died shortly around 4 weeks and recently was a puppy we named Cow from fading puppy syndrome on their birthday last week. Google it.
So now we’re left with these two. I was worried that no one would want them, especially Marla because of her condition. Thankfully, someone took interest when I posted this on Twitter.

I was close to choosing the latter. Then Reese told me she'd love to take her.
Later that night, I posted this tweet out of the blue asking if anyone would want to take this puppy..
Kim, a blogger friend, replied to my tweet! Yay! I didn’t think he was serious at first, but he was! I’m glad.
Okay before you speculate anything about this, let me explain. I’m giving them away because we already have a lot of dogs here. TBH, I wanted to put them down already but seeing those eyes of theirs is just heartbreaking. I already went through that (mercy killing a dog) just two months ago, last year and I cannot do it anymore. No, I didn’t kill the dog. I can’t even bear to be there personally while the veterinarian does it. Besides, it would cost me just to have them put down. So, instead of taking away their life (such innocent beings), why not just give them away, right? For all we know, they could give it a better life and family than us.
After we get to give all the puppies our female dogs possibly might have in the next coming months, that’ll be the last of it.. hopefully. I’ve been trying to save up to have the male dogs go through a vasectomy operation just so we won’t have any more of this. So far I’ve only saved up funds to have one go through the operation, we have two male dogs. It’s been chaotic household last year for us here because of the dogs.
I’m not really a dog person. As a matter of fact, I hated dogs until I had (have? hehe) one. And then a few weeks shortly after my dad brought home this dog, our cat got ran over by a car. That was according to our househelp then.. but really, I just want to blame that irresponsible person for what happened to that cat. Bitch got fired some months later because she kept stealing from our shop and my mom’s stuff.
You’ll never really appreciate dogs until you actually have one. What I hated about them the most is when they lick people. I guess I got lucky that none of our dogs are lickers, lol. They are quite the guarding type, though. Aaannnd that’s why no one ever comes to my house.
ANYHOO! I’VE SAID TOO MUCH. I was really just supposed to post these TWO photos of the puppies I just took because they looked cute, hehe. They inside my room right now, sleeping, but before that they were doing this.
Lol this puppy is quite weird.. He (doesn’t have a name yet) found his way outside the house and went to our “backyard” and started howling like a wolf this morning. Then this afternoon he did the same thing again. I guess he got tired from all his howling and failing to communicate with any wolves that might be around our area and decided to take a nap in the company of my shoes.
This is the puppy Kim will be getting soon!
Meanwhile, the swimmer puppy Marla, behaved like the cute puppy she is and stayed in her box. I guess her teeth is starting to come out that’s why she’s chewing on anything she lays her eyes on. She’s 2x bigger than the male puppy.. part of me thinks that’s the reason why he became a swimmer puppy in the first place — because she whored all her mommy’s milk. Reese will be getting this puppy when she’s ready to part ways with her mom.
)
Swimmer puppy is a condition in dogs when their front legs are warped and their hind legs become splayed and have a flat chest. The difference with this one is, her front legs aren’t warped. She doesn’t “paddle”, it’s only her hind legs that are problematic. I hope her new owner can save her.
I’ve been wanting to do the methods posted in this site but I’m frustrated because there aren’t enough photos to aid me in their tutorial lol.

You’ll never really appreciate dogs until you actually have one. Definitely so true!
And I hate you for naming your pup Marla but getting back what I just said because the puppy is SOOO cute!

Haha, ang hirap talaga magkaaso lalo ng kapag tuta pa kung saan saan dumudumi at umiihi but most of us wish that they won’t grow and stay cute as a puppy. ^_^

@April: Hahaha sorry naman! That’s what the owner wanted to name the pup kaya sinasanay na namin siya ngayon pa lang.
Pero diba, cute naman.. so bagay pa rin!
@Henry: Oh yeaahh tama ka dyan! I’ve become a maid around the house because I keep cleaning after them.. lol. I don’t want them to grow din pero then again that won’t be normal, diba?
Ang cucute kasi nila. :3
