Apple returned my laptop last Thursday and I’ve been hanging around the net again since then. Sorry for not updating right away guys.
>- The gist of it all is they replaced the top case of the laptop, the keyboard part? Yeah I think they really replaced it, even the trackpad because when I started using it, I noticed the BSE skin on the trackpad looks different; they removed it from the old trackpad and put it on the new one. (I noticed the cutting has been messed up as well
)
I bought new skins at BSE after removing the one on my trackpad because it really bothered me and it really looked dirty. The feel is so different and being OC I will not accept that. =)) I didn’t have enough funds to buy it but Keng and Lei (give them some  ) were very generous with helping me, and I got more than enough.. Thanks a lot guys! :worthy: I hope the skins arrive soon.
After I claimed the laptop I also got to buy Smallville season 6 because M1 is just next to the store, haha. I haven’t read the Visual Book guide that came with it AND watched the DVD.
By the way, Smallville is back! YAY! Heroes is still M.I.A and and, I have a new show that I am obsessed on (not really, just interesting enough haha).. more on that later.
I’m saving up for a new DVD player, since the one I have here does not have a working remote anymore and the player itself doesn’t have a stop button (IKR?! Guess how I “stop” whatever is playing there..). I hope it’ll be easy to save up for it. When I looked for DVD players at a wholesale supermarket, they were pretty cheap; around PHP 1,500-PHP 2,500. Not bad, no? I’m not looking for top of the line players from brands like Toshiba, Sony, etc. I just want a simple DVD player that can play DVD-R/+R, from USBs and memory cards..
Somehow I think I want to really start to save up for expensive items like this. Hey, I was able to save up money for my own PSP! But a dSLR is out of the question, I cannot save *insert dSLR amount here* in a short time, haha. I’ll let my parents buy me that, in time.
I already have a “list” on which lens and accessories to get.
Moving on. Lately I’ve been doing designs, for school and for other people. One of them is commissioned, I hope.
Tell me what you think.
The show I’m telling you about that recently got me hooked is.. CHUCK!

This show is just so funny and cool at the same time. Why do I like the Casey guy? =)) =)) I want to see the latest episode NOW! But, like Heroes, it’s on hiatus too. And I heard that the next episode will be on 3D. This is gonna be a problem, how am I supposed to enjoy it? I don’t have 3D glasses.. and it’s not the typical blue-red that it requires. But it’s pretty cool that it’s the first series ever (correct me if I’m wrong) that will release a 3D episode.
BTW, Anne is back to blogging again!
She’s one of my good friends so drop by her blog when you get the chance: CLMYRBGGE.BLGSPT.CM
Alright, gotta disconnect now.. Lunch time!

I won’t be around for 3 weeks (or more) because I brought my laptop to the shop to have its keyboard fixed (and possibly replaced). So I guess my site’s on hiatus! But I won’t be putting a huge hiatus sign, “you can’t come in because I’m on a break” kind of graphic.. I’ll just let this be. =)) Spam me with meaningful comments, alrighty? XD I have access to the net at home, still, but using another computer. It’ll be hard to surf as well so might as well wait for it to get fixed. In short, I will be online only to check up on stuff.
No more 8+ hours on the computer, that’s for sure.
Actually right now I’m at the school computer lab, I decided to update from here. Oh how I love WordPress. And if I get new questions or link exchange requests I can answer and add them using any PC. LOL.
I think this could be fun for me.. because most of the time I spend is just being in front of the computer all day and even when I get home from school, it’s straight to the laptop — ADDICT MUCH?! With my laptop out of the picture, I feel that my schedule just suddenly opened up and now I can do something else because the computer won’t be a distraction to me. ;;)
Ex: I’m by the bed reading a book and the computer is just on my left side..
Me: *reads a book*
*pauses*
*looks at the computer*…computer just sits there doing nothing
Me: *looks at it and decides to go online instead but she has to read half or least 1/4 of the book*
ANOTHER DAY, BOOK, ANOTHER DAY!!!
So there.
Oh when I bought the laptop to the Apple Store yesterday afternoon I got a chance to check out the bookstore and record shop.. sadly the ones in my wishlist (see previous entry) are not in the bookstore. Oh well, so I guess I really have to get them books at NBS.
Howeverrr.. when I dropped by at M1, they have a big sale going on for series DVDs, movie DVDs and some VCDs (not sure about music CDs). I tried to remember titles of albums I wanted to download later  on (use my brother’s PC.. but nah) but I forgot most of them. On the top of my head I remember Switchfoot’s Greatest Hits album (..really now, they already have a greatest hits album..) and the Japanese Import Bjork CDs, which I REALLY wanted to buy even if I already have soft copies of her albums. The Bjork CDs have really nice artwork layout and design, most of the albums I saw were eyecatching too that’s why I wanted to buy them. Another day, another day. =))
When I went to check out the DVD sale section, I saw season DVDs of shows such as House, Desperate Housewives, Superman (movie), etc.. and movie DVDs, some I already have at home. But what caught my eye is the DVD set of Smallville Season 6. ;;) the DVD set comes with this illustrated guide book as well (yay!) It’ll also be good to add this to my box DVD collection of the show, even if I started collecting (originals) from season 4.
Hmm.. so I got a new ‘gadget’ on Wednesday night..
Click here. To add, my problem with the spell checker feature is now fixed and I cannot Plurk properly using this device, ugh. But I can still check my email so I guess it’s useful enough as a substitute to Chris.
See you guys after 3 weeks! I’ll try to return comments too when I get some free time.
[edit] I update regularly (as much as possible, I have to
) on my Photoblog, take a look for updates too.

First Week
10Jan 09
Post tags: Books / Health / Life / School —Comments: 23 Comments
Hello guys! First week of school is over and there’s 13 meetings to go. I hope I’m right cause from what I heard during orientations of the subjects I attended the past week (the subjects that run for 3 hours max) we only meet for 14 times throughout the term. As for the general subjects which goes for 3x a day, I don’t know how many more sessions are left but probably a lot. I have Algebra for the general subject, I take it 3x a week and I have lab class every Thursday. Meh. It’s okay, it’s okay.. take it, pass it, move on to the pre-req subject, after that it’s OVER. Konting tiis nalang.
Even if it means I’ll be left behind. My friends are advancing their way and I’m left behind (I was able to go along with them on the previous terms) but since I’m taking a subject again I couldn’t add another subject, there’s going to be a conflict with the number of units.
Sorry if that was frustrating, it was not that necessary but I just wanted to let that out.
How’s everyone’s first day of school? Mine was terrible. Yes, yes. I got sick the night before school started (insert regrets here). I got colds, cough, fever and sorethroat. I still have them now. I wasn’t able to attend my first day of PE as well but I went to school in the afternoon (I’m scared I’ll miss out a lot of things on those 2 other subjects if ever I absent myself). It’s a good thing that I did went to school in the afternoon, 2nd class (supposedly), Algebra, they already had lessons right after the orientation. And for my 2nd class, Professional Practice (
) the professor grouped the class. I wished we were grouped by the people I knew instead of counting off.
. Another business kind of subject, I’m sick of this! :hmph:
So far everything’s going smoothly, except for my “Professional Practice” class. I don’t feel comfortable on that class for some reason.
It’s not my groupmates, just .. something. The rest of the classes are super duper OK for me. Oh yeah, except for the part that most of my professors are strict with the attendance now. FAIL! =)) I guess I just miss my schedule, “way of life” last term. Just proves how much of a lazy ass I am.
BTW, during my 2 hours break, my friends and I dropped by the local National Bookstore near our school.. I wanted to buy books but I didn’t have enough cash in me. I think most books I wanted to buy were from Paulo Coelho. Here’s my wish list for books, haha. I bet I won’t even get to read them until Summer vacation. I still have one book that I haven’t read, The Host by Stephenie Meyer. =))
Eleven Minutes Paulo Coelho
The Alchemist Paulo Coelho
Like The Flowing River Paulo Coelho
Lovely Bones Alice Sebold
The Time Traveler’s Wife Audrey Niffenegger (when I read the synopsis, it reminded me of the book I read not too long ago)
The Catcher in the Rye J.D Salinger (saw a friend reading this and the context seems pretty eye catching. )
Oh well, soon I’ll have you in my possession! Hopefully. ![]()
Later days!

Guys I’m selling a pair of Ipanema sandals, click here to view. I hope somebody’s interested. I barely use them and I think they’d be better if they go to a new owner. Please help me spread the word as well. Thanks very much!

Did you know that there is a “Star City” in Smallville?
Yup, there is, hahaha. I heard it while watching Smallville before, since then the term has double meaning for me. The place (in Smallville) and the amusement park (in Pasay City, Philippines).
Oh and Oliver Queen really is from Star City. How I love the Green Arrow.
Okay enough with my Smallville obsession.. last night almost everyone in our house went to Star City. Well I could have said my ‘family’ but Dad was left behind, he didn’t want to go cause he knew that there would be a LOT of people.. well he was pretty much right about that.
)
There were a LOT of people, indeed. We only got to go on 2 rides, Wild River and some kind of rollercoaster-ish ride called Space Flyers (I think I got it right this time).. hell I’m never riding a ride that goes upside down again. I’ve never been on a rollercoaster in my life, EVER. I’ve had my chances to conquer the “fear” of riding upside down rides before.. but I only took the chance last night and I say that once is enough.
I wanted to ride the other rides like Flying Carpet, Bumper Cars and Galactica, its like a big wheel and then you stand on the sides of the wheel/circle and then it’ll spin, the angle gets higher or something but not faster (me thinks). We were already in line but while observing the batch before us go it made me dizzy so we moved on Wild River.. Maybe some other time, when it’s not dark, LOL. Flying Carpet’s my fave actually, oh and one other attraction that’s similar to that is Surf Dance, it goes sideways instead of the way in Flying Carpet (crap, I can’t describe it very well, haha). And also some of the really kiddy rides, haha.
As much as we wanted to go all to the rides, problem is the lines were effin long!! Our ride all you can tag wasn’t spent very well since we only got to use it in 2 rides. Someday again, Star City, some day!
I won’t go into the details about my experience at Space Flyers but I have one thing to say: Once is enough. Wild River was fun, but I feel that I wasn’t ready for it.. the excitement faded away as I got closer to the logs (where we’ll ride) but once I sat down I started yelling my lungs out (ROFLMAOBBQ). I felt the blood and gravity rushing when we went down, fun for some, something new for me. I feel that we were the only kids who were really, really screaming out for our life there. My cousin told me after we got off that some guys were laughing at us.. meh. The hell with them, as if I care.. I don’t know them and I surely hope they don’t remember me.
When was the last time I went to Star City anyway?
Second year highschool. Star City was the last destination according to the itinerary, we also watched a play or a ballet recital (I’m not really sure) something about a Swan.. haha. Lisa Macuja was the star of the show that night. As for things Star City related during that day.. I rode the Wild River (and had fun) and the Flying Carpet.. can’t remember much except the place looked like it was falling apart. Saw rusty handlebars and such when we got in so it really surprised me when we got to the place last night cause the front looks brand new.
Oh, this is my first post the year! How lovely that it is related to Smallville in a way as well. =)) I’ve a wish.. I hope Smallville and Heroes would resume back to regular programming ASAP. From what I remember one of them will go back in January and the other in February *gasp* I don’t want!! I want my dose of Lois and Clark and Heroes now!
I go back to school on Wednesday btw, wish me luck! I don’t like my schedule very much, but it’s the best I can get, LOL. I will miss having 2 days having no classes for the most part. I only hate it cause of PE and Algebra and out-of-school NSTP.
Luckily my PE uniform still fits me after 10 months of no PE.
Worst part of all? The PE I’ll be taking is DANCE. Hopefully I pass all these minor subjects cause I never want to repeat a subject again. I looked at my flowchart (chart of subjects I’m supposed to take throughout my course) and realized that summer this 2009 is the last I’m going to ‘enjoy’, next summer will be our OJT. Time flies fast.. I’m not sure if I can still ride with all of these. I’m worried when to take my Business Math because I want to enjoy my summer and at the same time I want to finish all my general subjects. There’s another problem with my subject scheduling but I’ll talk about it some other time.
Anyway photos from last night for you to enjoy! Or not..
To end, I’m gonna share this quote of Oliver Queen :worthy:
Hahaha, di na nagpa-awat eh.
Because there are more important things in this world than what I want… and what I love.
