Smallville’s ‘Odyssey’ episode aired a few days ago and it only got to my attention when I saw a torrent file download of it, hahaha. Obviously, yeah, I downloaded it and what can I say about the episode and my expectations/what I’m looking forward to the rest of the final season of Smallville?

Wanna know something? I cried on the first episode. SAD!! I got lost on the first episode, there were some scnees that I forgot ‘how it happened’. I should watch again some episodes from Season 7, yay for my friend for giving me a copy of Season 7! :yay:

Anyway, that’s 1 out of 2 of my anticipated series comebacks that has been fulfilled ) I just heard from my friends that the new Heroes episode is out soon, well I suppose right now in the US it’s the premiere. WOOHOO! Even though I haven’t properly watched all the episodes off season 2 (I missed out on the first 7 episodes, started watching on 8), I’m still excited! I hope Ali’s still alive, I honestly don’t have any expectations but I hope it wouldn’t be so short like Smallville.
I have my sources where to get the episode and I just watched the trailer a few minutes ago. It gave me the goosebumps and the drive to WATCH it.. Woo woo woo! :yay: Must get the DVD of season 2 soon.

Oh yeah I downloaded Ne-Yo’s new album earlier this week. I’ve been anticipating for since last month, some of my friends might know this because on Plurk and Twitter I’ve been ranting on how long it’s taking to be released and stuff. Well, my prayers were answered because September 16 came out fast enough and I downloaded it.

:heart: IT! This is definitely my favorite album from Ne-Yo. I’m too lazy to do a review of all his songs right now but from the album I liked these songs: Back to what you know, Mad, Single, Fade into the background, Lie to me & Nobody. I noticed some of the songs have melodies/tunes from Little Bit’s “Forget About Me” and Usher’s “Love In This Club”. Dunno if that’s bad or something, I don’t really care.

Besides his new album, I’ve dled some old school and new music. Albums, most likely Greatest Hits from Macy Gray, Beverly Knight, N*Sync (I know, I know!), Maria Mena, Metallica (unofficial Greatest Hits, I just want to d/l their best songs), POD, Vertical Horizon, Kelly Rowland, John Legend, REM, Limp Bizkit, Nirvana, BSB, Joss Stone, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.

I know, I’m killing my HDD, slowly.. eventually. But don’t fret. I got a new HDD for my birthday, 320gb. :worthy: Actually I’ve used most of it already.. damn. Good thing I still bought blank DVDs to burn the files for back up.

I’m so distracted by entertainment from school. Hahaha. I gotta go now. Later days! Still have 1 plate to finish for Free Hand class, cross hatching! Well, I’m willing to learn.. hopefully I will learn. On Friday will be my 2nd recollection, I’d have to miss my Free Hand class on Friday for it so I’m going to sit in on one of my friend’s classes because they have the same professor.

Btw, the letter “T” on my Macbook keyboard doesn’t work sometimes. I wonder why is that? Is my keyboard starting to falter or is it dirty? Should I bring it to the Apple Store?

Sorry haven’t been blog hopping to your places lately. I’m way too active in Plurk. And also with school, LMAO. Buuut promise I will bloghop, as in after I finish this entry. Gel thinks I’m a Plurk monster already because of my stats :whistle: . I have no idea what you’re talking about. HAHAHA.

WOOHOO! Tonight marks the end of my first week of my 2nd term in CSB! What’s best way to celebrate it? Treating your friends out to Yellow Cab in the middle of the afternoon. :dance:

Saturday afternoon, my friends and I went to Yellow Cab in Taft Avenue. I treated them to pizza and pasta because it was my birthday recently. Actually I did like 2 parties, first with my HS friends last Tuesday and for my CSB friends I treated them today this Saturday. Thought it’d be a perfect day for them since most of us have NSTP classes in the afternoon, excluding Seth cause his NSTP class is on the morning ) . But thaaaaaanks for waiting till 4 to come with us. (Sosyal, you’re mentioned in my blog!) Anyway, so there. We all went to Yellow Cab, we were laughing and as usual we were the loudest people on that place. We ate a huge pizza, shared this Chicken Spaghetti, haha. Bonded, laughed, joked about different things. I had fun, most of the people who came were guys and according to Char, it was even, 6 girls and 6 boys but I didn’t notice it. *shrugs off*

Thanks Ian, Char, Princess, Jeanne, Andrew, Reji, Seth, Jacob, Alrenz, Yssa, Goldie and JM (Seth???) for coming! :yay: LOL. Okay I hope next year I can manage to do this again, hahaha. Thanks to my HS batchmates too who came over to my house last Tuesday despite their early classes next day, and for the ’5 special people’ who stayed till 12 to ‘really’ greet me. You’re way too many to list, and you know who you all are! IDK if you read my blog, probably you don’t. >-

Ooh! And much thanks to everyone who greeted me on my Multiply and Friendster, people who made posts on their Plurks to greet me. SUPER COOL! :whistle: Much appreciated.

So I’m 19 now. I still feel 18. I don’t feel REALLY old, because I’ll never look old. Teh lulz, get what I mean? See in person, you’ll find out why. Daaang. Okay this is freaky but I sometimes think what if I’m in my 20s already? Would I be still be immature for that age? Enough. Shit like that shouldn’t be said in this blog, haha. :yay: Tamang trip lang dito. >-

First week in school was okay. I have 2 days of no classes, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Feels like I’m back to having a ‘term break’. Feels like I’m not taking school seriously with 2 days of no classes, hahaha.

It begins with ‘Monday murder’, 3 three-hour subjects! Photography, Philippine Design and History of Arts and Design 2. I don’t like the third one, it’s HARD. I wish I got the prof I had in the first HARTDS1 subject last term, we didn’t do ANYTHING major except report on that which is OK for me. Ugh. I don’t wanna do art activities and all that shit on a ‘lecture’-ish subject. I just don’t feel the prof on that subject at all. K, gotta stop, she might get here and read this and THEN fail me. The good thing is, I have the prof in our History of Arts in Philippine design, woohoo! Okay, should I expect that he will not let us do a lot this time again? Or not.

Next is ‘Terror Thursday’, Computer Graphics subject (3 hours) in the mornings with my friends BUT I’m scared of the subject… sort of? The prof seems nice but I’ve heard a lot from her. Rawr. Our first HW was to make a mask out of photos SHE provided, thought it’d be easy but I haven’t conceptualized ANYTHING up to now. And to think this is Computer Graphics, Photoshop! I’ve been using the damn thing for 3-4 years almost and just coming up with a mask design is hard for me. WHYYYYYY?!?! Fail! After that I have my Color Rendering class, the prof is okay but … you know, the type that expects a lot, makes us do a lot of HARD things. This is hard for me, cause I can’t draw. Haha. Neither color well. I hope to learn & pass. And the materials are SO expensive, boo. The prof screams and yells at our class when explaining, he doesn’t come off as scary, but funny instead. My friend who was under this prof last term was even surprised that some of my classmates like this professor.

‘Friday freehand’. I only have one class and its Freehand, where we are majorly required to draw. :pray: The prof made us draw anything so he can assess us, or something. I drew a scene from the park (it ended up looking like a drawing from a Grade 1 student), a cellphone (Nokia 5610, which was badly rendered, IMO, but I was happy with the out come, LULZ), and.. a Chuck Taylor shoe (supposedly MY Converse shoe, rendered badly again). I feel that I’m the only one who needs serious attention to being tutored how to draw starting from the very basics. Huhu, Anna you’re such a loser. :hmph: Everyone has experience with doodling, semi-okay rendering and perspective. I hope I learn! Or I’ll go on LOA, HAHA! I kid.

Lastly, is ‘Saturday service’. One class which is NSTP. Okay I thought it’d be so-so. But it’s hard.. I feel that it’ll be hard. Our first homework is either take photos on how we view poverty (that would be an easy way out IF I didn’t have much to do on my other subjects, but I’m scared to go to poverty driven areas, too, which will be a problem) or write a essay reflection on poverty. I think I’ll go with writing an essay instead. I probably won’t have time to go out and take stellar photos of people in such areas where poverty exists.

I feel stupid getting a Monday schedule. I forgot to put into consideration I have Saturday classes while encoding my schedule. So I have Sunday-class next day-2 day break after. Frustrating, but I’ll get used to it, eventually.

That’s all for tonight, I’m too draggy and sleepy. Hopefully tomorrow will be dedicated to conceptualizing a digital mask for my Computer Graphics subject due this Thursday. *yawns* Bye for now! :yay:

WordCamp 2008

….was a success! The Philippine leg of the much-awaited WordCamp 2008 by all bloggers around the country was held yesterday at CSB. It felt like I was back to school cause during the Breakaway sessions, we went to 3 different classrooms to listen to the guest speakers on their topics. My favorite breakaway session would be the ‘Organizing & Optimizing Your WordPress Blog’. The other sessions we went to were the ‘Creating WordPress Themes & CSS Power’ and ‘WordPress as a CME/CMS‘. I wished I also went to ‘Video Blogging with WordPress’ and ‘Blogging & Journalism’ sessions, some of my friends got to watch those.

It felt like we (my friends) were the only ‘teenagers’ on yesterday’s WordCamp. I didn’t see anyone around our age, though there were some 18-year old’s (like me) when I saw a list but still, majority of the bloggers are ‘adults’. I had fun and I learned new things about WordPress! That was the point of going to that show, besides spending quality time with my classmates/bloggers and meeting my hostee and meeting Utakgago (okay I only realized right now that HE’s ‘Utakgago’, rofl). A lot of people brought their laptops with them, and have I mentioned that it was FUN looking at their laptops because most of them were at their Plurk sites? I saw one laptop with the Twilight layout on it, lololol. Food was yummy, Chowking!

Matt Mullenweg and I

Meeting Matt Mullenweg was surreal, felt like I met a celebrity. :worthy: During Matt’s ‘The Future of WordPress’ talk, starting with a presentation called ‘State of the Word’ (COOL!), and on the Future proper, he gave us a preview of what WordPress 2.7 is going to look like. It still looks the same (in terms of COLOR, haha) but there are new features, I like how every WP function can be easily accessed. After the show, Campers got to have a photo-op with Matt Mullenweg and each camper got the chance to have a one-on-one talk with him. I was not supposed to have a photo with him, but my friends almost pushed me infront of him, I’m just lucky I had something to say and it was the truth!

Me: I’ve been using WordPress for 4 years now (well it IS true, when I started So Stellar I was using WP already.)
Matt: Oh! Really! *says something I can’t remember *
Me: Can I have a a photo with you?

And poof, about 2 cameras were infront of us… HAHAHA. After that, I said thanks (of couse) and gave others a chance with the photo op. After 1 guy, I seem to still be infront of him.. my friends were still holding the camera and making gestures that I should have another shot with him and he asked me if I want to have another photo and I’m like ‘sure sure, yes’. The 2nd photo turned out better than the first one, phew! I heard him say during the ‘Powwow’ segment to tag his photos that we took using our cameras with his name on it.. how do you do that? Is that even possible? Hahahaha..

It was a very nice experience that I never thought would be even possible. Just thinking that I… got to meet the person who made WordPress! *nerdy moment* I didn’t go the afterparty because it’s too late and I was carrying a lot of stuff already it made me feel tired. I won an umbrella during the raffles. ) One of my friends won a Google goody bag and I think Utakgago won a domain from .ph! NIIIICEEE!

I’m back to school tomorrow! 2nd term of my soph year. After Monday I have 2 days of no classes, haha. I sure hope tomorrow will be fun. My birthday is so so so near, but I don’t know how to celebrate it.. I don’t even have plans of treating anyone. :hmph: Not that I’m selfish or anything, but I don’t want to stress myself .. hehe.
