Hello guys! I wanted to post a new entry right after the Lifehouse concert last Saturday but I was so tired (not really) that I just surfed the net when I got home at 12 in the morning. Hmm, actually I should’ve slept, but no! Hahaha. It’s becoming a bad habit, actually.
Continuing my story.. Last Saturday Alex and I went to Araneta Coliseum for the 2nd time to watch Lifehouse! I got to buy tickets a month early, but realized when we got inside the stadium that we got the wrong patron section tickets!
I bought PT106, which is one patron box farther from the stage, should’ve been PT107 instead since it’s closer. Rawr. But it’s okay because I got to record good audio from the videos I have from the concert here. Yah, well, IDK if I’ll post them online.. seems like there’s a lot of better videos on YouTube.
So much for regretting. We got there 15 minutes before 8PM, according to the ticket it’s supposed to start ‘on time’ but Lifehouse came out at quarter to 9PM! WTF.
On with the show, the people cheered, of course.
I was happy to see the band infront of me. Sad to say I didn’t enjoy it THAT much. I mean, it was OKAY… but of course, more of like ‘it could’ve been better’ if only they also played ‘Everything’. Everyone was anticipating to hear Everything live, most of the people kept on chanting it but according to a forum Jason Wade (vocalist) was not aware that the song is a big hit here. Ouch. They definitely owe us that song, and I sure hope they will come back here after 4 years or so.
I hope you guys now know what my title means,.
I don’t literally mean Everything, okay? I meant the song. Look it up at Imeem, it’s a beautiful song and I recommend it to everyone.
Here’s the setlist of the songs they played, I got it from the official Lifehouse thread at PEx Forums (bolded songs are the ones I know).
Make Me Over, Spin, Am I Ever Gonna Find Out, Simon, Hanging By A Moment, Blind, Take Me Away, Someone Else’s Song, From Where You Are, Bridges, Better Luck Next Time, Whatever It Takes, You And Me, First Time
encore: Disarray, Broken
In my opinion, I think the night would’ve been super amazing (sorry for the lack of a much ‘cool’ term) if they played the following songs live: EVERYTHING, Breathing, Cling & Clatter, Chapter 1, Come Back Down, Only One, Sick Cycle Carousel & Walking Away. I didn’t get to sing to much of the songs, even to the ones I know, sad.
Yeah concerts are definitely fun if you can sing to most if not, ALL, of the songs they play. It’s more exciting, enjoyable, memorable that way!
Actually, all those are my favorite songs from them, HAHA! Biased, much? It’s okay.. all in all, I’m contented with the Lifehouse experience
. Better experienced than regretting not going that night, right? I saw some familiar faces that night as well! Joaqui Mendoza from PBB (did I got his name right?
) was with a girl that night, I dunno who she is. Two tall *cute* (no to me) college, athelete-looking men.. they look like their UAAP players or some college heartthrobs, LOL. Cause I saw some high school girls going to them to get their picture taken with them, hahaha. That’s so highschool!
Jk.
Enough with the talk.. I know everyone wants to see pics because they look more interesting than reading my boring story about the show. I have more but they’re locked up in my Multiply album, hee. Hope you like these I post here.

This is the best shot I got that has all the band members on it.

It’s August next week and it’s the last month of my first term in Soph year here in college. On Wednesday, same week, is the course encoding week as well. That means I have to make my way in the computer really early to get a good schedule. I hope to get a good schedule for next term, the kind of schedule where I’ll always have a companion during breaks and stuff.
Wish me luck! ![]()

After reading Joni’s post about the upcoming WordCamp Philippines 2008 organized by the Mindanao Bloggers this September 06, 2008, I just had to do my research.
I found out that this event is going to be held at my school, De La Salle - College of St. Benilde (Taft Avenue, Manila) at the Augusto - Rosario Gonzales Theater (which is located on the 5th floor of the main building, if I may add). And even more cooler, the event day falls under my term break! Perfect timing, great! Hahaha, so without any further hesitation I looked for the registration link and poof I was on my way to getting to an event that’s all about WordPress! Web Developing as well, hahaha!
I invited some of my friends to attend as well, I hope they will come! As much as I love to go to the event, I wouldn’t want to learn all these new stuff alone. May I encourage you, then? And just in case you, my dear reader, is curious.. Non-WordPress users can also come, Non-Bloggers can come as well! But where do you fit in? If you’re a web developer, the event is also going to tackle on Web Developing stuff so there you go.
According to the site, here’s their tentative topics to be discussed:
- Blogging 102 - Basics & Beyond
- Other Ways to Use WordPress
- Video and Mobile Blogging
- Cascading Style Sheets
- Blog Monetization
- Migrating to WordPress
- Organizing / Optimizing Your WordPress Blog
- Advanced WordPress Management
- Developing WP Plugins / Best Practices in PHP Coding
- Designing WP Themes
- WordPress & SEO
- WordPress E-commerce Site
- Configuring & Deploying WordPress MU
- Developing WP Aggregator Sites
- WordPress Security / Anti-Hacking Techniques
- WP Development Ethics
- Microformats
I know it sounds so geekish of me, but I cannot wait to learn new things about those! I am 100% sure it’s going to help me in my course sooner or later.
September 6 is the big day, hope to see some of my regular visitors on that day!
It’s also a way to meet up with you guys, haha!
Oh, oh!! I heard Matt Mullenweg, the creator of Wordpress is going to be there!!! Lol. Geekery moment!11!111!!!
I hope this event won’t be as boring as Graphika Manila ‘07. Sorry to say but it really bore me. Okay at first but me and my friend couldn’t wait to get out. But I wanted to see the presentation of this one graphic design company who was responsible for Pupil’s Set Me Apart music video so I stayed behind when my friend left early, rofl. I can’t even remember the name of the company anymore — screw me. No, I don’t know if I’m going to attend GM ‘08.
I barely attend blog gatherings on real life so this’ll be my very first! Hoping to have fun.. and be supported with my friends and *cough*Blockmates, school friends*cough* since it’s gonna be held on our school.
This event wouldn’t be possible without the lovely sponsors *drumroll*
