I had my first public speaking activity yesterday for my first class, ORALCOM¹, at school. It was hella scary and I am thankful I didn’t vomit after. Well, I didn’t had much time to practice since I procrastinated for 3 days almost but I think I did ‘fine’, just ‘fine’. I didn’t violate much of the no-no’s of public, just 2 I think. I remembered I was sort of rushing my speech as well, DAMN! To be honest, I only did my speech the day BEFORE (Thursday) and practiced on the same day as well. It was pretty short so I was a little bit confident, but the jitters still got to me from time to time especially on the day itself.

I’m just glad that it’s over because I can breathe easily now. Unlike my other classmates who are scheduled to present theirs on Monday. I wonder if they’re procrastinating, cramming, lazing out or practicing and exerting effort for it? Now I’m thankful my last name is NOT on the bottom half of the class list, hehehehe.

From yesterday’s ‘Introduction speeches’, I noticed that most of my classmates are musicians. Most of them are ‘addicted’ to music just like me.. and some of them are in a band. Show ▼

There’s one guy, whom I didn’t remember his name, who has a band and their name is from an Incubus song. I think it was Pendulous Threads? I forgot if he was the one who said that they play EMO music, I giggled. Then one other guy who belonged to a family of musicians, and we shared the same interest of artists. Ok, I don’t remember much after that except for my friend’s speeches. I think I embarrassed myself when I said that my favorite subject for photography are MUSICIANS because clearly that’s THEM.

Hahahaha. So much for that, moving on……

Last Wednesday, I was supposed to get the PSP I ‘bought’ from my friend, but heaven didn’t agree so God let it rain. I got so annoyed because neither of us wanted to go to the other building to meet. I thought he was making it up when he said that there was a Pep Rally on the main building so that’s why he couldn’t go to the other building, which later turned out to be TRUE. I was a day late when I found that out. Sucks to be in the SDA building², you’ll be so isolated from everything. Meh, I hope it doesn’t rain next Wednesday. I want that PSP. I’m so bored right now and I don’t have anything productive to do. Imagine just what I can do with that PSP…. Play with Tekken all day? On a pink gaming console?

Actually, I have things to do. I could start playing with iMovie so I can start editing our raw shots from our BASICOM³ subject but I’m not in the mood for that. I can… get back to reading New Moon, 4 chapters to go! BUT I’m hella lazy.. New Moon is my least favorite book, I’m just being patient reading it just so I can finish it. Jacob Black makes it so boring, SORRY TEAM JACOB. Sometimes I don’t even read thoroughly, I just skip to the dialogues instead. If not reading, I have another option which is to create another plate for DESPRIN⁴ about gradients.. which, btw, is HARD.

No classes on Tuesday so I have ANOTHER option to defer my DESPRIN plate and my ‘review’ time with my HARTDS1⁵ notes for a quiz.

In other news.. mom’s selling quite a lot of stuff like crazy recently. She goes into our stuff and asks if we still use whatever she finds and if we say we don’t use them anymore or we won’t be using it she takes them away and sells it. I saw the things she compiled up for selling and there were so MANY! Oh well, it’s better to have it be owned by someone who’s really going to use it. So, who wants a once-used Ice Cream Maker? I should help out by giving some of my CDs be put up for sale. I need to make money. So much stuff we have here that we don’t use, it’s almost good enough to put all of them on a Garage Sale.

She also put up the new Reader’s Digest magazines on sale, I asked her why can’t she just continue on collecting them along with the other books we have. And then she said that it’s taking up space.. well, that’s the purpose of having another house. Put loads of shelves. Such a shame to see these age-old art books go to waste. I could use them for school anytime, you know?

EDIT: An hour later I wrote that, my mom came to my room, announcing that she will include my NEW BOOKS for sale!!! I got so furious and shit. I went out to the living room and started speaking in a loudish tone. Why the heck would she do that? Because my books was put in a box she thought it was useless to me now! Gah. This is why I’ve been asking for SHELVES and for my room in our renovated house to be CLEANED and FIXED soon so I can move my shit there and not take up space in this house we are in right now. Sorry. I’m just really annoyed because most of the books she was going to put for sale aren’t even mine, 1 of them I just borrowed from a friend. Shelves, is just too much to ask for? My collection of things are getting way out of hand and I need my own storage room.

Lol. I was able to save money 2 weeks ago, but last Thursday it only took me an hour to spend my savings on 4 DVDS. I bought Good Luck Chuck, Tokyo Drift, Pursuit of Happyness and Mean Girls (we already have a VCD of this movie but I still want a DVD of it!). I really want lots of shelves on my room. I have so many books and DVDS.. CDs as well and boxes are not good enough to store them.

I found out a review yesterday while doing reviews at a certain website that REALLY pissed me off. I won’t say sorry to the person who did it if she ever finds it out. Not only that it offended me, but it sounds downright stupid.

I don’t like rock bands so I will definitely not watch their concert here in the Philippines.

This rock band this ignoramus is talking about is INCUBUS. What bothered me a lot is why did she wrote up a NEGATIVE review about them and rated them a POSITIVE 4. Does that even make any sense to you? I, for one, can’t simply just ignore this because the topic of the review has only received few reviews, probably why I noticed it that easily. And is she even aware that the band’s concert here in Manila was already a thing of the past? Did she even bother to read at least 50% of the site content she was reviewing?

In case you are not aware, this site gives you points for every review you do. And if you reach the minimum points required, you can get rewards for your points such as MONEY. It makes me mad because people do the stupidest things for MONEY. At least FOLLOW the goddamned rules of this review site. I know not everyone likes Incubus, but what the fuck.. was that ‘review’ even necessary?

Maybe it’s just me who’s acting so mad, pardon me. I’ve let it go, trying to move on.. but still can’t help but think about it whenever I see it.

Lifehouse concert tickets

There goes my savings. There goes my money to Lifehouse. LOL. This purchase was rather a spur of the moment. I already knew about their concert here on Manila next month long ago. I said to myself I would go but not SERIOUSLY go to the concert. After seeing Alexa’s post about the event, I was somehow convinced that I should go! I called Ticketnet and reserved 2 patron tickets immediately. I got the same seat place like the Incubus concert, except we’re in Row C instead of Row A. I realized later that I don’t have money to pay for it! I do have money, but I’m going to use it for something else so I decided to use my parent’s ‘money’.

Voila! I got the tickets and now my mother is not going to pay back the money she borrowed from me cause I used her ‘money’. Oh well. I’ll get back the money somehow. I have pending payments from different paid to blog posts I did. I told my brother to CLEAR ALL of his commitments on that day already, nyahaha. I thought he has a gig on the 26th but he cleared that up when he woke up. Stupid drunken monster.

That ’something else’ I was talking about earlier is a Sony PSP that I’m buying from a friend. It started from that Facebook status I had, then he was like ‘want my psp’? So I just bought it, boom. Yuh, I’m getting a secondhand unit, big deal. A brand new unit would cost a lot and I don’t want to bug my parents for money just to buy it ~ I don’t think its worth it. There isn’t much difference with the fat and slim PSP right? Both still have wi-fi capabilities and can play PSP games. And I just want to solo Tekken: Dark Resurrection all to myself. Also, I want to pay for something this expensive even just for once. Btw, it’s pink. I didn’t want it at first but I guess I learned to be okay with it. See, I’m very OC with all my “gadgets”, I want ALL of them to be black. Take a look at my gadget page and you’ll notice that. HAHA, hope he doesn’t see this. Nakakahiya.

Speaking of gadgets, my Blackbook aka Chris (yes I guess that’s his official name now ) turned 1 year old last Friday the 13th! I forgot to make a ‘twit’ about it, but doesn’t matter. Just to clear things up, it’s named Chris cause of my blockmate (HAHAHA) and, Chris as in DJ Chris Kilmore of Incubus. :smug: I’m glad this thing is free from any kind of problems whatsoever. Maybe when the Applecare protection plan expires, thats the time when a problem will arise on this thing. Haha.

Me and my friends watched Kung-Fu Panda on Friday The 13th. Before we got to the mall, we had a hard time getting a taxi from the school. Char and I were like crazy monkeys crossing/going back and forth across the road because when we got a taxi’s attention, we’d go to them BUT they start to leave — WTF?! Surely it was embarrassing but we just laughed it off. Jeanne, on the other hand was persistent with getting a cab. Char and I were about to go to the main building then I took a quick glimpse at Jeanne an saw that she got a cab.. and we got inside and went to Robinsons Ermita.

We looked for a place to eat and they decided to eat at Chowking. I wasn’t going to order but Jeanne ordered steamed dumplings (or Siomai in Filipino, I think? hahaha) and I got envious of it so I ordered the same thing. MY GOOOOOOOOODDDD, I have never eaten any of those since 4th year highschool! My typical Siomai: Dipped in soy sauce and LOTS of those spicy thinggys. I wanted more but I have to save money.

The movie was great. It was definitely funny and Po’s so CUTE!!! Lol, fat and bouncy animals are just adorable, aren’t they? We waited till the credits because we were expecting to see Sam Concepcion’s video for the movie. But it didn’t show up. I barely noticed that a lot of big-time Hollywood stars were in the movie like Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan, besides Jack Black. After that movie trailers were played, daaang, I was expecting to see Twilight’s trailer!

Wow. So many interesting trailers were played. I want to see the new movies of Rob Schneider, Steve Carrell, Angelina Jolie and this movie titled ‘Hancock’!

I have to go now. Watching Jose Rizal movie so I can make a detailed movie review. I already did one during senior year in highschool but it was written in Tagalog, boohoo, so I have to start again from scratch.

The movie is actually one of my favorites, haha. It’s so weird but I really liked it. There may be no truth to this but I thought the scene where Rizal went face to face with the fictional character he created that we all know as Simoun/Crisostomo Ibarra was so cool. Did that really happen to him?

Our teacher in this subject does not want Rizal to be our national hero because he didn’t do anything heroic but just write and expose the bad act of the Spaniards to our country. That’s a story for another entry in the near future.

Another homework I have is to make a speech outline of ‘introduction’ for my ORALCOM (Oral Communications) class. Bummer, I’m not sure what are we really supposed to do with it. I’m looking up the how-to’s of it online though. BYE!
